In the same sort of vein as the last thing...Lovecraftianish.
I'm looking at something set in the swamps of the lower Mississippi...some forgotten bayou in Arkansas...either in the last stages of or right after the Civil War...a newspaperman..a Union ironclad and/or tinclad...Confederate guerrillas...evil things in swamps which time as forgot...
And I was thinking of writing it in the style of Heart of Darkness--the narrator being an observer listening to another person tell the story...the newspaperman...and use the same main character of the last one...which means the newspaperman would be unnaturally aged...perhaps due to certain worship...
It's just in my brain right now.

Seriously.
I was working on a paper I could turn into an article. Trying to use my degree for something. But I've hit a dead end I can't subvert.
And I get ideas, but then they don't seem as good once I put some words down.
Anyway.
